We’re looking for an experienced Electronics Engineer to join a skilled and collaborative engineering team developing cutting-edge products for the defence sector. You’ll translate complex system requirements into innovative electronic designs, ensuring successful customer acceptance on time and within budget.
What you’ll do:
- Lead the architectural and detailed design of electronics solutions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and suppliers to create successful design outcomes.
- Ensure designs are optimised for manufacture, test, and smooth transition to production.
- Support system integration, including troubleshooting and fault finding.
- Produce high-quality documentation, drawings, and bills of materials in line with company procedures.
- Provide occasional on-site support for installation and maintenance.
What you’ll bring:
- Degree or equivalent qualification in electronics or related discipline.
- Ability to obtain UK Security Clearance (essential).
- Broad analogue and digital electronics design experience, including:
- Low-noise power supply and distribution
- Analogue signal conditioning
- Data acquisition systems
- FPGA-based control
- EMC-compliant design
- Proven track record in the full electronics product lifecycle: specification, circuit design, validation, compliance, and formal acceptance.
- Experience with ECAD tools (Cadence OrCAD desirable).
- Strong problem-solving skills, able to fault find to component level.
