Electronics Design Engineer

Copello are currently seeking an experienced Digital Electronics Engineer to join a leading defence organisation in the Edinburgh area on an initial 12-month contract. Working as part of a highly skilled engineering team, you will be responsible for the design, development, integration and verification of digital electronic systems used within complex defence programmes. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with strong digital electronics experience to work on technically challenging projects within a highly regulated and innovative environment. Key Responsibilities Design and develop digital electronic hardware for complex defence systems. Produce and maintain electronic designs, schematics and technical documentation. Undertake FPGA and/or digital logic design activities where required. Support the development and integration of electronic assemblies and sub-systems. Carry out design analysis, simulation and performance assessments. Develop and execute test strategies to verify digital electronic designs. Investigate technical issues and undertake fault-finding at component and system level. Support hardware integration, testing and qualification activities. Work closely with systems, software, firmware, mechanical and manufacturing engineering teams. Contribute to design reviews and provide technical input throughout the product lifecycle.
