Electronic Technician

The Opportunity

Copello are working with a technology-focused engineering business that is looking for a hands-on Engineering Technician to support the development, assembly and testing of electronic and RF products.

This is a varied, practical role working alongside engineers across different disciplines, supporting prototype development, laboratory testing and fault-finding. It would suit someone with an electronics or engineering background who enjoys practical problem-solving and is keen to develop their technical skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the assembly, development and testing of electronic and RF equipment.
• Set up and operate laboratory test and measurement equipment.
• Assist with prototype build, soldering, PCB rework and fault-finding.
• Manufacture cables, wiring harnesses and mechanical assemblies.
• Support the development of test setups, fixtures and prototype components.
• Run basic test scripts and assist with automated testing and data collection.
• Record test results and maintain laboratory equipment, tools and components.
• Work closely with engineering teams to resolve technical issues and support product development.

About You

• Experience in electronics, RF, manufacturing or a similar engineering environment.
• Familiarity with electronic test equipment and practical assembly or soldering.
• Ability to follow technical drawings, schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Basic scripting or test automation experience would be beneficial.
• Experience with cable assembly, PCB rework, 3D printing or CNC equipment would be advantageous.
• A practical, methodical approach with good attention to detail.
• A willingness to learn and work across different engineering disciplines.
