Position: Electronic Engineering TechnicianLocation: CwmbranSalary: 28,000 - 30,000, depending on experience Electronic Engineering Technician required. Our client is a small specialist engineering company and UK subsidiary of a US-based business, designing and manufacturing highly specialised RF driver electronics used in laser beam control applications. They are seeking a practical, self-motivated and adaptable Electronic Engineering Technician to work across electronics assembly, testing, fault-finding, RF and opto-electronics, production support and general workshop activities. Electronic Engineering Technician Position Overview Testing, repairing and modifying analogue, digital and RF electronic circuits and equipmentFault-finding electronic assemblies to component levelReading and interpreting circuit diagrams, PCB layouts, wiring diagrams and technical drawingsUsing oscilloscopes, spectrum analysers, VNWAs, signal generators and other electronic test equipmentCarrying out through-hole and surface-mount soldering, PCB repair and component replacementPerforming functional testing and maintaining accurate test recordsTesting and evaluating opto-electronic and laser-related components and assembliesSupporting prototype development and engineering modificationsPreparing and kitting electronic and mechanical components for subcontract manufactureUsing CAD software to view and modify mechanical drawings and simple designsCarrying out basic workshop activities including ..... full job details .....
