Electronic Engineer

Electronics Engineer Cambridge £40,000 - £60,000 Our client is seeking an Electronics Engineer to join their engineering team. This role offers the opportunity to work across the full product lifecycle from early design verification through to production support and field investigations. You will play a key role in ensuring new PCB designs meet performance, reliability, and quality expectations before and after release to manufacture. The Role: +Develop and execute verification test plans for new electronic designs. +Define test requirements to maximise PCB assembly coverage and validate against specifications. +Design, build, and document custom test equipment for engineering and production use. +Diagnose faults to component level across complex electronic assemblies. +Lead structured root cause investigations for recurring or production-related failures. Key Skills and Experience: +HNC (or higher) in Electronic Engineering or a related discipline. +Minimum 3 years experience within a product development and/or manufacturing environment. +Strong ability to interpret schematics and understand functional circuit blocks. +Experience fault-finding to component level and producing structured investigation reports (e.g., 8D or similar). +Solid grounding in analogue, digital, embedded, and power electronics. +Proficient with laboratory equipment (oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies, signal generators, etc.).
