This is an opportunity to join an established engineering business developing specialist electronic systems used in demanding subsea and offshore environments. You''ll have the opportunity to take ownership of designs from concept through to production, working on products that are manufactured in-house and supplied to customers around the world.

The Role

As an Electronics Design Engineer, you''ll play a key role in the design and development of electronic systems, working closely with a collaborative engineering team to deliver innovative products.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Designing and prototyping electronic circuits and systems
• Leading or supporting new product development projects
• PCB design, simulation and layout
• Producing product documentation within an ISO 9001 quality framework, including test specifications and procedures
• Testing, validation and fault-finding to ensure product performance and reliability
• Working with multidisciplinary teams to develop innovative electronic products

What We''re Looking For

• Degree in Electronic & Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
• Strong background in electronic circuit design
• Experience with PCB design, simulation and layout
• Proficiency programming MCU and PIC devices
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate technical concepts and work effectively within a team

Desirable Skills

• C or C#
• DSP or FPGA programming
• RF circuit design
• Analogue electronics
• Experience of underwater acoustic systems
• Strong mathematical or physics background
