Electronic Assembly Technician

Our client, a prominent figure in the Defence and Security sector, is currently seeking an Electronic Assembly Technician on a contract basis.Due to the nature of the role, applicants must hold the sole British nationality and be willing to undergo basic security checks before starting. 20-25 p/h Umbrella, inside IR35.6 month initial contract.Fully onsite in Wimborne.Key Responsibilities:Wiring complex assemblies using technical drawings, wiring/circuit diagrams and work instructionsTerminal installationSoldering high-density multi-pin connectionsMechanical assembly of control cabinets, racks, frames and associated metalworkManufacture of cable loomsEnsuring all paperwork and electronic systems are completed accurately for traceabilityMaintain good standards of housekeeping and cleanliness while following health and safety practices including ESD precautionsSkills, Qualifications, and Experience:Experience or qualification in electrical assemblyPrevious assembly experience within a workshop manufacturing environmentSoldering skills, including complex high-density connectors and surface mount devicesAttention to detail in assembling skillsAbility to read and understand electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and PCB schematicsStrong time management skills, with the ability to work unsupervised to deadlinesEffective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a teamBasic computer literacy, including use of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and ExcelEssential Functions:Role ..... full job details .....
