Product Architect / Project Lead (Embedded Instrumentation)Location: Durham, North East England Salary / Package: £70,000 to 90,000 basic + benefits - Their benefits package includes salary sacrifice schemes for pensions etc A well-established RandD-led manufacturer of professional electronic instruments is seeking a Product Architect to lead the development of complex new products from concept through to production. This is a hands-on technical leadership role, combining system architecture and techncial leadership. The ideal candidate with have a strong background in electronic design and embedded software to fulfil the ''Product'' brief. But, in reality the role is more focused on electronics as they re-use a lot of firmware and it''s the electronics that will be the focus of design projects for their next generation of products. This role could also suit Principal, Chief, Lead, Staff etc electronic design engineers who are already heavily involved in architecture and doing a technical leadership role. Key responsibilities - Product/Electronics Architect Lead engineering teams through all phases of product development, from concept to production release Define and own system architecture for integrated products spanning hardware interfaces, embedded firmware, mechanical design and software tooling Manage day-to-day technical execution, resolving cross-functional dependencies and technical challenges Work with Project Managers to develop schedules, manage risk and ..... full job details .....
