Job Title: Electrician - Housing Repairs Team (West London Borough)
Location: West London
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Duration: Initial 3 months, with potential for extension
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturdays (paid at a premium rate)

- Umbrella CIS: £235 per day (No Limited Companies accepted)

About the Role:
A West London borough is seeking a skilled and qualified Electrician to join their Housing Repairs team. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering high-quality electrical services, including fire detection installations, electrical repairs, and testing across the borough. You will ensure all work complies with the cost and quality standards of the Direct Labour Organisation (DLO), while maintaining a strong focus on health and safety and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance, both internally and externally, to the highest standards.
- Conduct fault finding, commissioning, and remedial works as required.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times.
- Work within scheduled appointments, coordinating with customers and team members to meet deadlines.
- Use company-issued tools, equipment, and PDA for job instructions, work orders, and material ordering.
- Supervise and mentor apprentices or junior team members as needed.
- Assess and pre-measure works to plan material and labour requirements effectively.
- Complete necessary paperwork related to repair jobs.
- Perform general electrical duties, including renewing immersion heaters, shower units, and making good chases to walls and floors.
Essential Qualifications:
- CandG Part 2 or Level 3 NVQ in Electrical Installation
- AM2 (Achievement Measurement 2)
- 18th Edition BS7671 (CandG 2382-18)
Desirable Qualifications:
- CandG 2391-52 Level 3 Inspection and Testing
- CandG 2382-22 (18th Edition including latest amendments)
Requirements:
- Valid UK Manual Driving Licence (no more than 6 points)
- Ability to pass a basic DBS check
- Strong problem-solving skills and good judgment
- Self-motivated with a flexible, solution-oriented approach
- Ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of additional trade skills
