Time Served Electrician - Housing Services

Location: Flintshire

Hours a Week: 37

Time served Fully qualified electrician, able to produce a high standard of work in both tenanted and void properties and have experience within social housing.

A wide knowledge base is essential and the candidate will need to have excellent testing and diagnostic skills and able to trace and rectify faults within domestic properties including repairs to various types of central heating systems

Core Qualifications Required

-Electrical Qualification (Essential)

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
• Or City & Guilds 2360 / 2330 (Parts 1 & 2)

-18th Edition Wiring Regulations

• BS 7671 (18th Edition) certification required

-Inspection & Testing (Highly Expected)

• Competence in:
  • Electrical testing
  • Inspection
  • Fault diagnosis

Experience Requirements

-Social Housing / Domestic Experience

• Experience working in:
  • Social housing environments
  • Domestic properties (tenanted & void)

-Practical Skills

• Strong:
  • Fault-finding and diagnostics
  • Repairs and maintenance
  • Rewiring and installations
• Knowledge of:
  • Domestic electrical systems
  • Heating system electrics

Additional Requirements

-Time-Served Electrician

• Must be fully qualified and experienced (not trainee level)

-Health & Safety Knowledge

• Understanding of:
  • Safe isolation procedures
  • Risk assessments (RAMS)
  • Compliance with regulations

-Driving Licence

• Full UK driving licence (usually required)
