Commercial Electrician - Job Overview

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Commercial Electrician to join our growing team. We have been established for over 15 years and work with high-profile clients across the UK.

We specialise in heating, air conditioning and electrical services, delivering first-class maintenance, repair and installation work across a range of commercial environments.

This Commercial Electrician role will involve working in hotels, offices, restaurants and motorway service stations.
Key Responsibilities As a Commercial Electrician, your duties will include:

• Carrying out electrical maintenance, repairs and installations
• Fault finding and diagnosing electrical issues
• Testing and inspecting electrical systems
• Ensuring all work is completed in line with current health and safety regulations
• Completing accurate paperwork and job reports
• Providing excellent customer service to clients and site managers
• Attending emergency call-outs when required
• Working across a variety of commercial sites throughout the UK

Requirements

To be considered for this Commercial Electrician position, you should have:

• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
• City & Guilds 2360 Part 2
• Previous experience as a Commercial Electrician, Maintenance Electrician or Electrical Engineer
• Experience working within commercial buildings
• Full UK driving licence
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Good communication and customer service skills

Working Hours and Overtime

• Monday to Friday
• 40-hour contracted week
• Paid door-to-door travel minus 30 minutes each way
• Overtime paid at enhanced rates:
  • Monday to Friday after first 9.5 hours: Time and a Half
  • Saturdays: Time and a Half
  • Sundays and Bank Holidays: Double Time
• On-call rota is 1 in 4 weeks with £110 standby payment
• Three engineers are on call at any one time to reduce area coverage
