The RoleWe are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrician to join the Works Department at HMP Liverpool. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a unique and secure environment, contributing to the maintenance and improvement of prison facilities while ensuring a safe and operational estate.Working as part of a dedicated facilities team, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive electrical maintenance, repairs, testing, and installation works across the prison estate.Key ResponsibilitiesCarry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive electrical repairs.Diagnose and rectify electrical faults efficiently and safely.Complete electrical installation work in accordance with current regulations.Undertake inspection, testing, and certification of electrical systems.Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety procedures.Maintain accurate records of work completed.Support the wider maintenance team as required.Participate in the weekend rota (1 in 3 weekends).RequirementsNVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent.City and Guilds 2360, 2330 or equivalent qualification.18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS7671).Experience in planned and reactive electrical maintenance.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Strong awareness of health and safety practices.Full UK driving licence is desirable but not essential.What''s on Offer?39-hour working week.Ongoing temporary contract with the potential to secure a ..... full job details .....
