Electrician

The Opportunity

• We are currently recruiting experienced Commercial Electricians for a long-term commercial office development in Central London. The project involves electrical installation works within a commercial office environment, with a focus on power distribution, lighting systems, cable containment and general electrical fit-out.
• We are looking for skilled and reliable electricians with previous commercial experience who can work from technical drawings, maintain high installation standards and coordinate effectively with other trades throughout the project.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Carrying out first fix and second fix electrical installations throughout commercial office spaces.
• Installing cable containment systems, including conduit, trunking, cable tray and basket.
• Installing lighting, emergency lighting, small power and associated electrical accessories.
• Pulling, routing, glanding and terminating cables in accordance with project specifications.
• Installing distribution boards and associated electrical equipment where required.
• Reading and interpreting electrical drawings, layouts and installation specifications.
• Carrying out testing and fault-finding duties where required and within the scope of the role.
• Coordinating with site management and other trades to ensure work is completed safely and to programme.
• Maintaining a clean, organised work area and ensuring all installations meet the required standards.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Commercial Electrician on office fit-outs, commercial developments or similar projects.
• Strong knowledge of first fix and second fix electrical installations.
• Experience with lighting, emergency lighting, small power and cable containment systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical specifications.
• Understanding of safe isolation, electrical testing principles and relevant installation regulations.
• Relevant electrical qualifications, such as NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
• Valid ECS card appropriate to the role and any additional site credentials required.
• Good understanding of BS 7671 and site health and safety procedures.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work independently and alongside other trades.
• A professional approach to workmanship, communication and meeting project deadlines.
