About the Role
Based in Stroud, this permanent Electrician role offers a salary between £28,000 and £33,000 per annum. You will independently build and test components for complex downhole drilling tools, requiring no supervision. Responsibilities include electrical inspection, reactive repairs, and fault finding, alongside supporting Lean and 5S initiatives. Candidates need IPC certification (620 and J-Std preferred), with proven soldering, crimping, and wiring skills. You must also identify workmanship issues in downhole electronics. This position demands competence in electrical assembly and a thorough approach to quality and process improvement.

Key responsibilities as our Electrician will include:
Under zero supervision, builds and tests various components of a complex downhole drilling tool
supports Lean and 5S improvements
Electrical test and inspection
Reactive repairs and fault finding
Key skills:
experience in electrical assembly and be IPC certified (IPC 620 and J-Std preferred)
Competent at soldering, crimping and general wiring skills,
as well as detecting workmanship issues of downhole electronics equipment and processes
