Approved Electrician – Industrial

We are seeking a highly skilled Approved Electrician with strong industrial experience to join our team. This role is focused on industrial electrical installations, testing, and compliance within complex working environments.

The Role – Industrial Focus

As an Approved Electrician, you will:

• Install electrical systems within industrial facilities

• Work on distribution boards, containment systems, cabling, and industrial control equipment

• Carry out inspection, testing, and certification duties

• Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams

• Ensure full compliance with BS 7671 and all relevant health & safety regulations

• Maintain accurate documentation and certification records

• Work both independently and collaboratively to deliver projects efficiently and safely

Industrial Experience Required

This role requires proven, hands-on industrial experience. Applicants must demonstrate:

• Minimum 5 years working as an electrician, with significant time spent in industrial environments

• Experience working on industrial installations such as plant rooms, machinery supplies, containment systems, and three-phase distribution

• Strong understanding of industrial compliance, isolation procedures, and safe systems of work

• Confidence working in fast-paced, safety-critical environments

• Ability to manage workloads and solve technical challenges independently

Essential qualifications:

• City & Guilds Level 3 Electrical Installation (or equivalent)

• 2391 Inspection, Testing & Certification (or equivalent)

• AM2 qualification

• ECS Gold Card (preferred)

Working Hours

• 40 hours per week

• Monday–Thursday: 7:00am–4:00pm

• Friday: 7:00am–1:00pm

• Closed on Bank Holidays

• Full Christmas shutdown
