The purpose of the role:
As a CBRE Electrical maintenance engineer, we are seeking a skilled and proactive Electrical Maintenance Engineer to oversee and maintain electrical systems and equipment across our Nailsea facilities. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in diagnosing electrical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring operational efficiency in compliance with safety standards.
The role is on a fixed site facility with canteen services and gives access to all the benefits enjoyed by CBRE staff including pension, holiday purchase (in addition to the 25 + BH''s), cycle to work etc. Currently the role is being carried out as a 4 day working week and there is scope for this to continue if desired.
This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.
What You''ll Do:
- Perform regular preventive and corrective maintenance on electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment, lighting systems, PLCs, and power distribution systems.
- Inspect and test electrical components for safety, functionality, and code compliance.
- Collaborate with production and operations teams to minimize downtime and ensure smooth running of equipment.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, service records, and compliance documentation.
- Recommend improvements and upgrades to enhance system reliability and energy efficiency.
- Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and electrical codes.
- Support installation and commissioning of new equipment.
What You''ll Need:
- City and guilds level 3 2365/2357 qualification with AM2
- Proven experience (typically 3+ years) in electrical maintenance within an industrial, manufacturing, or commercial environment.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring diagrams, schematics, and troubleshooting tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Electrical License, OSHA training) are advantageous
