Electrician - CAT 3 (HV Substation)

We''re working alongside a client in order to find them a CAT 3 Authorised Electrician for their SSEN substation project in the Hampshire area. You would be carrying out the outstanding HV and LV electrical installations, terminations, multicore/control wiring and protection panel works. In addition to this, you would support the testing and commissioning sequence.This is a contract role starting ASAP and finishing in early December. Working days are Monday to Friday, with programmed outage/out-of-hours working.You must have a current SSE/SSEN authorisation to Category 3 (CAT 3) Key responsibilities:Mount 132kV and 33kV surge arresters and complete their earthing and busbar/conductor connections.Complete disconnector and circuit breaker busbar connections to underslung post insulators, and CB terminal conductor connections to overhead copper busbars.Connect underslung post insulators to the transformer HV bushings and support removal of the 132kV fault thrower.Install and terminate earthing transformer and NER neutral cabling; earth the earthing transformer and NER; complete VT conductor connections.Install and terminate 132kV and 33kV outdoor multicores; complete terminations and ferruling at the marshalling kiosk; terminate the 400V AC tap-changer supply into the LVAC pillar; pull and terminate LVAC board cabling.Carry out relay room works: HV/LV relay panel internal wiring, wall-box terminations and trunking, glanding and terminating multicores, RS485 and 10-pair ..... full job details .....
