Morgan Hunt are currently working alongside one of Scotland''s top 100 businesses as they search for an experienced Electrical / Senior Design Engineer to join their Glasgow office. This is a truly unique and interested opportunity to work on projects in high-tech regulated industries such as cleanrooms, research laboratories, medical manufacturing facilities and more. We are looking to speak with professional, technically driven engineers interested in honing their engineering skills on bespoke, challenging projects in specialist markets. If you have experience in these sectors then that is advantageous, however this is a great chance for an individual to move away from traditional building services projects.RoleEnsuring an understanding of project briefs. Design and specification of all Electrical Building Services systems.Preparation and review of documentation eg designs, specifications, assessment reports, survey reports.Site surveys, inspections and monitoring of site worksImplementation of detailed surveys of electrical services and equipment to establish status of the existing installations and gain sufficient information to recommend new/upgrade design proposalAssisting with the development of junior engineersReport and technical note writingQualifications / ExperienceDegree qualified or equivalent qualification in Building Services Engineering / Mechanical EngineeringIdeally chartered or working towards this with CIBSE or IET.5-10 years experience working in a design consultancy or a similar envrionment.Knowledge of mechanical design within the built environment.Good report writing skills, experience of making presentations to and attending meetings with clients.Detailed knowledge of appropriate technical standards, able to take charge of project deliverables, make decisions, act on own initiative.Good level of computer literacy in a range of digital tools such as IES thermal modelling package, Microscoft packages, CADBenefits22 days holiday + 9 publicsHoliday buy/sellHigh bonus''s paid out yearly5% pensionHealthcareSupport towards chartershipJob securityFree on-site parkingMorgan Hunt is a multi-award-winning recruitment business for interim, contract and temporary recruitment and acts as an Employment Agency in relation to permanent vacancies.
