Electrical Test Engineer

Overview We are recruiting for a Electrical Test Engineer within our Energi Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for testing, inspecting, and carrying out quality checks on MV and LV switchgear. Responsibilities Performing routine and final testing on low and medium voltage switchgear assemblies. Interpreting electrical schematics, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues and working with Engineering team to resolve design or manufacture issues. Preparing accurate test reports and maintaining proper documentation. Performing quality inspections at different production stages, and report on findings. Supporting Factory acceptance tests (FAT) and site acceptance tests (SAT) with clients. Ensuring adherence to quality standards and compliance with health and safety regulations. Assisting in the commissioning of switchgear (on site) so occasional travel required. Skills and Qualifications A degree or HND / HNC in Electrical Engineering or related field, or proven experience in an electrical switchgear testing similar role. Experience with testing equipment, and knowledge of switchgear operation and protection systems. Good trouble shooting and problem-solving skills, and ability to interpret electrical wiring schematics. Ability to work within tight deadlines.
