Rullion is offering an exciting opportunity for a qualified Electrical/Electronic Technician to join a well-established rolling stock company based in Golders Green, London. In this role, you will be a key member of the maintenance team, responsible for the upkeep and servicing of a locomotive fleet.

Contract Type: 6-Month Rolling Contract
Location: Golders Green, London
Shift Pattern: 5 on, 3 off or 4 on, 4 off rotations over a 3-week schedule, with 2 weeks on nights and 1 week on days.
Average of 42 hours per week.
Shifts:

• Days: 07:00 to 17:30
• Nights: 19:00 to 05:30 & 20:30 to 07:00

Hourly Rate:

-44.30 / -46.67 Per Hour (Umbrella)

-34.58 Per Hour (PAYE)

This rate is for an entry level Technician. Rate is subject to increase upon assessment in the future.

Please be aware that this position is subject to IR35 regulations, which means that we do not engage with Limited Companies for this role.

Job Description:

We are currently seeking a skilled electrical Technician to join our team on a contract basis at our Golders Green location. In this role, you will be responsible for the service and repair of depot rolling stock and associated equipment, crucial to the smooth operation of the depot.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Maintenance and Repairs: Perform servicing, maintenance, and repairs on overhaul fleet locomotives, coaching stock, and associated equipment.
• Safety and Efficiency: Ensure that all maintenance and repair activities are conducted safely, efficiently, and in a cost-effective manner.
• Quality Improvement: Actively participate in initiatives to enhance the quality of work and processes.
• Team Player: Collaborate effectively as a member of a work team, fulfilling the role''s responsibilities within the team structure.
• Housekeeping: Maintain a high standard of housekeeping within the work area.
• Adaptability: Be flexible and willing to take on additional duties within the scope of modification work as needed.

Experience required:

Strong understanding of electronic and electrical engineering related to various types of rolling stock. Mechanical experience is also an advantage, as there may be times when you are required to assist in other maintenance duties.

Technical proficiency in electrical engineering.

Effective verbal and written communication skills.

Competency in IT skills, including the use of personal computers, office software and diagnostic equipment.

• Electrical Engineering: Must possess relevant experience in an electrical engineering environment.
• Qualification: NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering, or a higher-level qualification, or a recognised equivalent qualification in a relevant engineering discipline
