I''m recruiting on behalf of my client for an experienced Electrical Technician to join their expanding manufacturing team in Poole.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established engineering manufacturer specialising in the design and build of high-quality, bespoke equipment.
Due to continued growth and increasing customer demand, they''re looking to strengthen their production team with an experienced Electrical Technician who enjoys hands-on assembly, wiring and testing. Working alongside skilled Mechanical Assembly, Test and Quality teams, you''ll play a key role in building bespoke machinery to the highest standards within a clean, modern manufacturing environment.
The Role
As an Electrical Technician, you''ll be responsible for:
- Assembling and wiring electrical systems using electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and technical drawings.
- Building and installing electrical control panels into bespoke machinery.
- Carrying out electrical testing, inspections and safety checks throughout the build process.
- Completing build documentation and test records accurately.
- Supporting continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to improve quality and manufacturing efficiency.
- Working collaboratively with production teams to achieve right-first-time builds.
To be successful as an Electrical Technician, you''ll ideally have:
- A completed electrical apprenticeship or equivalent industry experience.
- At least two years'' experience in electrical assembly, panel wiring or electro-mechanical build.
- The ability to confidently interpret electrical drawings, circuit diagrams and wiring schematics.
- Experience carrying out electrical testing and fault diagnosis.
- IPC certification would be advantageous.
- Takes pride in producing high-quality work.
- Has a strong understanding of safe working practices across a range of electrical voltage systems.
- Works in a methodical and organised way.
- Has a positive, flexible attitude and enjoys working as part of a collaborative manufacturing team.
- Communicates effectively with colleagues across production and quality functions.
