Electrical Technician (SC Cleared) - Nuclear Site

We are currently seeking 2 x Electrical Technicians to join a major project at a nuclear facility in Reading. This is an excellent opportunity for technically capable electrical professionals with experience in control systems, panel wiring and industrial electrical installations.

Please note: Active SC Clearance is an absolute minimum requirement. Candidates who do not currently hold SC Clearance will not be considered.

Essential Requirements

Candidates must hold:

• Current SC Clearance (mandatory)
• ECS Gold Card
• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations

Copies of all certifications will be required prior to interview.

Security Clearance Requirements

Successful candidates will need to progress through Developed Vetting (DV) clearance.

To be eligible, candidates must:

• Already hold active SC Clearance
• Be willing to undergo the DV clearance process
• Have lived and worked continuously in the UK for the past 10 years
• Not hold dual nationality

Experience Required

We are looking for Electrical Technicians with strong technical and fault-finding capabilities and experience working on:

• PLC systems
• Building Management Systems (BMS)
• Control panels
• Panel wiring
• Industrial electrical installations
• Electrical testing and commissioning

Not Suitable For

This role is not suited to candidates whose experience is primarily focused on:

• Containment installation
• Tray, basket and conduit installation only
• Non-technical electrical labour activities

Ideal Candidate

You will be a hands-on Electrical Technician with a strong controls or automation background, comfortable working on complex electrical systems within a highly regulated and secure environment.

Active SC Clearance is essential and must be in place before application.
