Electrical Systems Engineer

Working across vehicle electrical architecture, integration and testing, the Electrical Systems Engineer will support the development of advanced electrical systems from concept through to vehicle implementation. This is a varied role combining design, validation and hands-on problem-solving, with responsibility for wiring harness design, component selection, electrical diagnostics and system integration activities.
 
The Electrical Systems Engineer will:

• Design and develop low-voltage vehicle wiring harnesses and electrical systems.
• Select and specify electrical and electronic components to meet system requirements.
• Support the integration, commissioning and validation of vehicle electrical systems.
• Investigate and resolve electrical issues at component, rig and vehicle level.
• Define and execute test plans for electrical systems and components.
• Produce and maintain electrical system documentation.
• Support PCB specification and design activities.
• Analyse vehicle and test data to support troubleshooting and continuous improvement.

 
The Electrical Systems Engineer will have:

• A degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience with component specification and wiring harness design within automotive, motorsport or similar industries.
• Strong understanding of automotive electrical systems and communication protocols.
• Experience using DMMs, oscilloscopes and CAN analysis tools for diagnostics.
• Experience with LV and HV PCB design.
• Practical experience modifying, testing and troubleshooting electrical systems.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a hands-on engineering approach.
