Electrical Systems Engineer Automotive / EV Start: ASAP (within 2 3 weeks) Duration: 3-Months Location: Aldershot / hybrid Sector: Automotive / EV systems Overview: We are seeking an experienced Electrical Systems Engineer to support short-term delivery across system definition, supplier coordination, and validation activities within an advanced automotive or EV programme. The role focuses on system-level electrical design and integration, not hands-on wiring or CAD, and is ideal for someone confident working between requirements, suppliers, and validation teams to maintain technical delivery and compliance. Key Responsibilities: Define and review electrical and functional system requirements. Lead supplier and cross-functional discussions to align specifications and interfaces. Support system-level integration and requirements traceability through to validation. Review and contribute to DFMEA, test coverage, and verification planning. Ensure designs comply with internal standards and functional safety principles (ISO 26262). Ideal Profile: Background in automotive or EV electrical systems engineering. Proven experience with requirements and architecture tools (DOORS, Polarion, Jama). Strong understanding of E/E architectures, HV systems, BMS, or charging systems. Comfortable working with OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers on system definition and validation. Pragmatic, delivery-driven engineer able to operate with minimal onboarding.
