Electrical Switchgear Engineer

Futures Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Electrical Switchgear Engineer to join a growing engineering team working on the design, manufacture, installation and support of LV/MV switchgear solutions.This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with a strong electrical background who understands switchgear systems and enjoys solving technical problems in a practical, fast-paced environment.As an Electrical Switchgear Engineer, you ll be responsible for supporting switchgear projects from initial technical requirements through to manufacture, testing, installation and commissioning. Reviewing technical specifications, drawings and customer requirementsSupporting the design and engineering of LV/MV switchgear and electrical distribution systemsProducing and reviewing electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and technical documentationSelecting appropriate components, protection devices and switchgear equipmentProviding technical support to manufacturing and assembly teamsCarrying out or supporting FAT, testing and commissioningTroubleshooting electrical and switchgear-related faultsWorking closely with project managers, customers, suppliers and site teamsEnsuring designs and installations comply with relevant electrical standards and safety requirements The Ideal Candidate Previous experience working with switchgear, control panels or electrical distribution equipmentA strong understanding of LV and/or MV electrical systemsExperience reading and interpreting ..... full job details .....
