Electrical Site Manager / Supervisor

Location: Birmingham
Rate: £300 per day
Start Date: Immediate
Duration: Approx 8 weeks + potential 18 month follow-on project

MEP Technical Talent are currently recruiting for an experienced M&E Supervisor / Site Manager to join a leading M&E Contractor on a large student accommodation project in Birmingham.

The project is currently in the final stages and requires someone experienced with project completion, snagging, quality checks and handover.

The initial requirement is expected to run for approximately 8 weeks weeks, however the contractor also has a new 334 apartment development starting in Wolverhampton in the coming months. Candidates who perform well will have the opportunity to move onto this scheme, providing around 18 months of additional work.

The Role:

You will be working with the project team to drive the final stages of the scheme through to completion.

Duties will include:

• Managing M&E snagging and close-out works
• Walking areas, identifying issues and producing snagging lists
• Allocating works to electricians and trades on site
• Monitoring progress and ensuring items are completed
• Completing quality inspections and QA documentation
• Updating progress using digital site systems
• Working with platforms such as Field View or similar
• Liaising with site management and subcontractors
• Ensuring works are completed safely and to specification

Requirements:

• Previous experience as an M&E Supervisor, Electrical Supervisor or M&E Site Manager
• Strong experience completing projects through final stages and handover
• Ability to identify issues and manage snagging processes
• Experience using digital QA / snagging systems (Field View, RDrive or similar)
• SSSTS or SMSTS required
• CSCS card
• Good communication and organisation skills

Package:

• £300 per day

• Approx 8 weeks initially ( with potential extension on new scheme)

• Potential 18 months of further work
