Skilled Careers is actively recruiting for a skilled Electrical Shift Engineer to join a leading FM service provider at a high-profile commercial office building near Liverpool Street, London. This is a permanent role offering continental shifts (days & nights) and a competitive salary of up to £53,800.00 dependant on skills and experience.

Role Overview
You’ll be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of all electrical systems across the site, including planned preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive repairs, and compliance tasks. The role requires a proactive, multi-skilled engineer with strong fault-finding abilities and a commitment to high standards.
Key Details

- Salary: £53,800 per annum

- Shift Pattern: Continental (4 on, 4 off – rotating days & nights)
- Hours: 07:00–19:00 / 19:00–07:00
- Start Date: Immediate
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out PPM and reactive maintenance on electrical systems
- Emergency lighting testing and fault resolution
- Control panel inspections and repairs
- Replace ballasts and maintain lighting circuits
- Monitor and respond to BMS alerts for HVAC systems
- Maintain pumps, motors, and associated plant equipment
- Basic plumbing tasks (e.g., unblocking toilets, replacing taps)
- Update logbooks and ensure full compliance with site protocols
- Liaise with clients and contractors to ensure smooth operations
- Support wider M&E and fabric maintenance tasks as required
Candidate Requirements
- City & Guilds Level 2 & 3 in Electrical Installations
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (essential)
- Proven experience in commercial building maintenance
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Multi-skilled with a hands-on, proactive approach
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must be able to provide copies of relevant trade certificates
