Electrical Quantity Surveyor - Defence Location: Derby or Plymouth (Flexible / Hybrid Working) Salary: Competitive + Car Allowance + Comprehensive Benefits Security Clearance: SC Cleared or Eligible to Obtain SC Clearance The Opportunity A leading global consultancy is seeking an experienced Electrical Quantity Surveyor to join its growing Defence team, supporting the delivery of some of the UKs most complex and high-profile infrastructure programmes. This role offers the opportunity to work within a highly regulated environment, managing the commercial delivery of major electrical and MEP packages across secure Defence projects. Candidates will be considered for opportunities in both Derby and Plymouth. Key Responsibilities Manage the commercial delivery of electrical works packages from procurement through to final account. Prepare and maintain cost forecasts, CVRs, cash flow forecasts and cost-to-complete reporting. Administer NEC3 and NEC4 contracts, ensuring contractual obligations are effectively managed. Lead change control activities, including compensation events, variations and claims. Review and manage payment applications, subcontractor valuations and final accounts. Support procurement activities, tender evaluations, commercial reviews and subcontract negotiations. Monitor project performance against budgets and provide commercial recommendations.
