Responsibilities of the Electrical Quality Engineer: Conduct in-depth inspections of installed electrical systems: LV/MV switchgear, tap of units, distribution panels, busbars, and control units. Verify correct installation methods per British Standards, IEC Standards and other relevant standards, construction drawings, and specifications. Sign-off installed systems post-verification, ensuring compliance with both technical standards and customer specifications. Act as the on-site technical liaison for contractors, installers, and customers. Lead inspection and testing of electrical components and assemblies during in-house production. Audit supplier installation practices and electrical build quality. Ensure compliance documentation (DoCs, certifications, risk assessments) are accurate and audit ready. Work with Engineering, Quality, Production, Supply Chain, Project Manager, and Commercial teams to align technical expectations and field realities. Maintain professional, tactful communication in high-pressure scenarios, using patience, and conflict resolution techniques to manage challenging customers or disputes effectively.
