Electrical Project Manager

Due to ongoing growth and an increasing portfolio of bespoke developments, our client-are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager with an electrical background to join our team.

Role Overview

As Project Manager, you will oversee the successful delivery of residential developments from groundworks to handover, with a particular emphasis on managing the electrical scope. You will coordinate contractors, ensure compliance with safety and building regulations, and drive quality across all aspects of project delivery. This is a hands-on role that requires technical knowledge, commercial acumen, and strong leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage residential construction projects across multiple sites.

  • Oversee and coordinate all electrical works, ensuring they are executed to spec and compliant with IET Wiring Regulations (18th Edition).

  • Liaise with architects, structural engineers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure smooth delivery.

  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, budgets, and schedules.

  • Conduct regular site visits, progress reports, and health & safety audits.

  • Ensure full compliance with CDM regulations and building control standards.

  • Monitor procurement and materials to avoid delays or budget overruns.

  • Communicate with clients and internal stakeholders to manage expectations and changes.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager in residential property development or construction.

  • Strong understanding and hands-on experience in electrical systems (preferably Part P qualified or previously NICEIC-registered).

  • In-depth knowledge of building regulations and site safety practices.

  • Exceptional organisational and leadership skills.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and M&E schematics.

  • Proficient with MS Project, Excel, and project reporting tools.

  • Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel across sites.

Desirable

  • SMSTS or SSSTS certification.

  • IOSH or NEBOSH Health & Safety qualification.

  • Experience with high-end or bespoke residential builds.

  • Familiarity with renewable energy systems (e.g., EV charging, solar PV, heat pumps).
