Electrical Project Engineer

Our client, a key player in the nuclear sector, is actively seeking an experienced Electrical Project Engineer to join their team on a contract basis. This exciting opportunity will have you fully site-based and focusing on construction-side activities, ensuring the smooth and compliant execution of electrical installation works.

• Overseeing electrical installation works
• Managing subcontractors and technicians
• Reviewing and approving electrical documentation
• Supporting commissioning teams
• Ensuring compliance with nuclear site standards
• Managing electrical work packs
• Coordinating with mechanical, civils, QA, and PMO teams
• Ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence

• Experience in the electrical discipline (not mechanical)
• Experience working as a project engineer on the construction side (not design office)
• 100% site-based role
• Capable of working under CIS or Umbrella
• Security Clearance (SC) minimum, must be DV-capable
• NVQ Level 4 and a Gold Card are ideal qualifications
• Experience supporting construction packages
• Proficiency in documentation (RAMS, ITPs, redlines, as-builts, LQRs, permits)

• Electrical Technicians who have progressed to NVQ Level 4 / HNC / HND
• Electrical Commissioning Technicians moving into project engineering work
• Electrical Construction Engineers from nuclear, defence, or heavy industry
• Individuals with strong documentation and package management experience
