Electrical Project Engineer

Project Engineer – £40,000 - £50,000 - Permanent

Hybrid | Wakefield (2 days per week in office)

We are looking for a hands-on and detail-oriented Project Engineer (or OTD Engineer) to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. This role is ideal for someone with an electrical engineering background, preferably with experience in the wireless telecoms sector.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and coordinate project delivery from planning through to completion.

Work closely with build teams and maintenance support teams to ensure seamless execution.

Support and liaise with electrical field engineers, providing technical guidance and operational support.

Order and manage materials and equipment required for project delivery.

Track project milestones, risks, and deliverables, ensuring on-time and within-budget completion.

Ensure compliance with health & safety, quality, and industry standards.

Contribute to OTD (On-Time Delivery) performance and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

Strong electrical engineering background — HNC/HND or degree level preferred.

Experience in the wireless telecoms industry (e.g., mobile networks, RF systems, or infrastructure).

Proven experience in a Project Engineer, OTD Engineer, or similar role.

Excellent communication and coordination skills.

Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.

Proficient in MS Office and project management tools.

Desirable

Familiarity with telecoms infrastructure rollout and maintenance.

Experience with CDM regulations and site safety practices.
