Electrical Pre-Construction Manager

We're partnering with one of the UK's fastest-growing specialist M&E contractors to recruit an Electrical Pre-Construction Manager.

This is a newly created role within an ambitious and expanding business that has built an outstanding reputation for delivering technically challenging projects across the defence, education, commercial and public sectors.

Backed by a highly successful principal contractor and operating as part of a wider group that's transformed the way major construction projects are delivered, the business continues to invest heavily in its people, processes and long-term growth.

As part of that journey, they're looking for someone to establish and lead their pre-construction function.

This isn't simply another Project Manager position.

You'll become the link between clients, design, commercial and delivery teams, ensuring projects are commercially robust, technically coordinated and fully prepared before construction begins.

You'll have genuine influence over how projects are won, planned and delivered.

The Opportunity

Working directly with the senior leadership team, you'll take ownership of projects from early client engagement through design development, procurement planning and mobilisation before handing them over to the delivery teams.

You'll help shape internal processes, influence business improvement and play a significant role in the company's continued expansion.

Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical pre-construction and PCSA process.
• Coordinate design development, estimating and commercial activities.
• Develop procurement strategies and manage early package procurement.
• Drive value engineering and buildability reviews.
• Manage project budgets, programmes and risk.
• Build strong relationships with clients, consultants and supply chain partners.
• Present project updates and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Support bid strategy and early contractor involvement.
• Ensure projects are fully coordinated before handover to delivery teams.
• Continuously improve pre-construction processes across the business.

About You

You'll have experience delivering electrical building services projects and enjoy the planning, coordination and commercial side of project delivery.

We're looking for someone who is:

Experience of PCSA, NEC and JCT contracts would be advantageous.
