Electrical Mechanical Field Service Fitter

We have an exciting opportunity for a Electrical Mechanical Field Service Fitter based in Castleford for one of our clients on a Full time permanent basis. 

Summary of the Electrical Mechanical Field Service Fitter role 

Salary: £40,000
Location: Castleford 
Type of Contract: Permanent  
Hours: 37.5 hours Monday – Thursday 8.15am-4.45pm, Friday 8.15am-1.45pm 

Responsibilities of the Electrical Mechanical Field Service Fitter

• De-contamination of pump units
• Dismantling, inspection and reporting of pump unit condition
• Assemble and test pumps
• Identify spare parts required from drawings
• Mechanical measurement of components and critical dimensions
• Diesel pump set repair and maintenance

Requirements for a successful Electrical Mechanical Field Service Fitter

• Experience in working with Diesel Pump Sets
• CSCS card – Desirable
• Confined Space training – Desirable
• Overhead crane, lifting and slinging operator license – Desirable
• Water Hygiene qualified – Desirable
• Full driving license
• Mechanical or Electrical apprenticeship or similar or time served
• Experience in Electric Motor & Control Equipment
• Strong fault-finding skills, ideally with pumps and rotating equipment
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
