Electrical Mates / Improvers - Data Centre, Slough

Pay: Improvers -22.25 per hour | Mates -19 per hour
Start: 23/03/2026 | Contract: -1 year if reliable

Tech People are recruiting skilled Electrical Improvers, and Electrical Mates to work in a live data centre in Slough. This is a sensitive environment, so attention to detail, adherence to safety protocols, and teamwork are essential.

Details:

• Location: Slough Data Centre
• Hours: 7:30 am - 4:30 pm (9 hours paid if worked)
• Work: Electrical installation and strip-out works
• Requirements: ECS card, IPAF certification, own tools & PPE
• Other perks: Free parking available
• Contract: Approx. 1 year if reliable

Responsibilities

• Assist Electricians with installations, strip-out works, and general electrical tasks
• Handle cable pulling, tray installation, and preparation of circuits for electricians
• Support safe working practices and maintain clean, organised areas
• Carry out minor testing and checks under supervision
• Use IPAF and other equipment safely as required

Requirements:

• Must be fit for working indoors, including up and down steps
• Experience working in sensitive or live environments preferred
• ECS card and IPAF certification mandatory
• Own tools & PPE required
