Electrical Maintenance Technician

Zenith People are working with our client who are recruiting for an experienced, Time-served Electrical Maintenance Technician on a permanent basis. The main purpose of the role is to provide engineering/ maintenance support by performing plant preventative maintenance, engineering support whilst working a Shift Pattern of Earlies and Lates You will be responsible for electrical/ mechanical maintenance, repair and fault finding of plant and equipment. Fulfilling the requirements of the facility CMMS to reduce unplanned downtime and works towards improvement of OEE. Electrical/ mechanical fault finding, isolation and repair of equipment. Providing input into the electrical maintenance and operation of plant equipment. Carry out evaluation and risk assessments within all areas of the plant to ensure safe working methods and environment Ensure that plant critical spares are maintained at the required level. Identify suitable external resource when appropriate for routing maintenance activities or ongoing improvement projects. Use SAP to raise purchase requisitions as appropriate. Working on plant improvement initiatives and makes recommendations to reduce unplanned downtime. Working with suitable external engineering services as and when required to ensure safe and effective operation of plant equipment. Undertaking periodic training to ensure that maintenance activities are performed in compliance with best safe working practice and current legislation. ..... full job details .....
