Electrical Maintenance Technician

Job Title: Electrical Maintenance TechnicianLocation: Harlow, Essex Job Type: PermanentShift: 12-hour day shifts on a 2-week cycle. 7am - 7pmSRG are currently looking for a skilled Electrical Engineering Technician to join a high-performing maintenance team within a process manufacturing environment. This role focuses on delivering both preventative and reactive maintenance, ensuring high levels of plant reliability and operational performance.You''ll play a key role in troubleshooting, maintaining, and improving site equipment while working closely with production and engineering teams in a fast-paced setting. Key Responsibilities (including but not limited to):Perform planned and breakdown maintenance on a range of process and plant equipmentDiagnose faults and carry out effective and timely repairs to minimise downtimeEnsure all maintenance activities comply with safety, environmental, and operational standardsAccurately complete maintenance logs, job cards, and CMMS records (e.g. SAP)Support equipment reliability and plant availability targetsAssist with maintenance planning, parts identification, and stock controlLiaise with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to ensure smooth operationsProvide clear shift handovers and communicate ongoing work effectivelySupport and oversee external contractors when required Criteria: Apprenticeship or Level 3 NVQ in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)Qualified to 18th Edition Wiring RegulationsCompEx certification ..... full job details .....
