thefutureworks, Coventry University''s dedicated recruitment agency, is currently recruiting for a Campus Services Technician (Electrical) to join the Estates team supporting its London campuses in Dagenham, Whitechapel, Vauxhall, and Greenwich.This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and skilled technician with an NVQ Level 3 Electrical Qualification (or equivalent) to play a key role in ensuring a safe, efficient, and high-quality learning environment for staff and students.Key Responsibilities: Carry out a range of reactive and planned maintenance tasks across university buildings, focusing on electrical systems. Undertake lighting repairs, LED upgrades, and replace damaged sockets and fittings. Support Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) activities including:o Fire alarm and emergency lighting testso Legionella control (e.g. changing TMVs, flushing systems)o Fire door inspections Conduct minor repairs such as decorating, plumbing, and general building maintenance. Maintain accurate records of work, inspections, and compliance checks. Assist with room setups, office moves, and university events. Oversee external contractors to ensure work is carried out safely and to required standards. Proactively report and resolve hazards or non-compliance issues.
