Electrical Maintenance Technician

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing electrical systems and equipment across our facilities, ensuring optimal operational performance. Duties

• Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical systems and machinery.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults using schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Repair or replace faulty components, including motors, switches, relays, and circuit boards.
• Programme and maintain programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to optimise equipment performance.
• Use AutoCAD software for updating schematics and layout drawings as required.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to plan and execute complex repair projects.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations during all maintenance procedures.
• Provide excellent customer service by supporting internal teams with technical guidance when needed.

Requirements

• Proven experience in electrical maintenance within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Experience working with programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and automation systems.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD for creating or modifying technical drawings.
• Mechanical knowledge is advantageous for understanding integrated systems.
• Ability to perform maintenance tasks safely while adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting issues.
• Customer service skills are desirable for effective communication with internal stakeholders.
• Relevant qualifications in electrical engineering or maintenance technology are preferred.
