The Role
Reporting into the Contract Manager, you''ll take ownership of the day-to-day engineering operation, ensuring both planned and reactive maintenance is delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest possible standard.
This is a varied role combining leadership, client management and hands-on technical support, making it ideal for someone who enjoys being involved in all aspects of building services maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate and develop a team of four engineers.
- Manage the delivery of planned preventative maintenance (PPMs) and reactive works.
- Ensure all statutory compliance and health & safety requirements are met.
- Build and maintain excellent relationships with tenants and stakeholders.
- Coordinate specialist subcontractors and monitor work quality.
- Manage permits to work, RAMS and engineering compliance.
- Support engineers with fault finding and technical guidance.
- Maintain accurate CAFM records and compliance documentation.
- Drive service delivery and continuously improve engineering performance.
What We''re Looking For
- NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience within commercial building maintenance.
- Strong background in electrical building services maintenance.
- Experience delivering both planned and reactive maintenance.
- Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
- Good working knowledge of CAFM systems, compliance and health & safety.
- A positive, proactive approach with strong leadership qualities.
