Are you an Electrical Maintenance Engineer looking for a technically challenging role where you can take ownership of plant reliability and drive improvement projects across a heavy engineering environment?

On offer is a key role within a specialist heavy engineering, manufacturing business, where you will be central to optimising performance across two manufacturing plants through robust preventative maintenance, fast diagnostics, and the delivery of reliability improvement projects.

The company produce high-quality iron and steel castings for the wider engineering sectors. With ongoing demand and a busy production facility, they are looking to strengthen their engineering function to support output, safety and continuous improvement.

In this role you will be carrying out electrical installations, maintenance and repair on manufacturing equipment. You will fault-find on 3 phase supplies and AC/DC systems, work on electrical control circuits, read drawings and circuit diagrams, and be PLC-literate with the ability to interpret ladder logic.

This role would suit an Electrical Engineer with strong electrical fault finding and control systems experience, looking for a high-impact role with variety across site equipment, meaningful projects, and the chance to be recognised for improving performance and reliability.

The Role:

• Electrical maintenance, fault finding and installation work across two manufacturing plants
• Diagnose faults on AC/DC systems, 3 phase power supplies and electrical control circuits
• Read electrical drawings, circuit diagrams and interpret ladder logic / PLC systems
• Support reliability projects to improve OEE, reduce downtime and optimise plant performance
• Days role: Core Hours 05:00-17:00 (Mon-Fri - 40 hours per week)

The Person:

• Apprentice trained with relevant electrical qualifications (including 17th Edition / BS7671)
• Strong fault finding on industrial electrical systems (control circuits, 3 phase, AC/DC)
• IPAF / MEWP licence beneficial, along with experience reading ladder logic / PLCs
