Electrical Maintenance Engineer

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established heavy manufacturing business. This is an excellent opportunity for an electrically skilled engineer looking to work within a challenging, high-volume production environment where reliability, safety and continuous improvement are key. You will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving a wide range of heavy manufacturing machinery and production equipment, ensuring maximum plant availability and minimising downtime. Key Responsibilities Carry out planned, preventative and reactive electrical maintenance across the manufacturing site. Diagnose and repair electrical faults on production machinery and plant. Work with PLC-controlled systems, sensors, motors, drives and control panels. Respond quickly to breakdowns and minimise production downtime. Complete electrical inspections and testing in line with company procedures. Support mechanical maintenance activities where required. Identify recurring faults and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Assist with installation, commissioning and modification of new and existing equipment. Maintain accurate maintenance records and update the CMMS system. Ensure all work is completed in accordance with health and safety and electrical regulations.
