Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Questech Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business in the Leeds area for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their engineering team.

Location - Leeds
Duration - 3-6 Month Contract
Shifts - Monday-Friday | Rotating 6:00am-2:00pm / 2:00pm-10:00pm

This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy manufacturing environment, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance to ensure production equipment is running safely and efficiently.

The Role

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown repairs.
• Fault find and repair electrical faults on manufacturing machinery.
• Minimise downtime and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work closely with production and engineering teams to maintain plant performance.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with site procedures.

The Candidate

• Apprentice trained or NVQ Level 3 qualified in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong electrical fault-finding skills.
• Experience working with motors, sensors, contactors, inverters and control systems.
• PLC fault-finding experience is beneficial but not essential.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
