Electrical Maintenance Engineer

Questech Recruitment are recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business for an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy manufacturing site, supporting the maintenance and reliability of production equipment while working as part of an experienced engineering team.

Location: Leeds
Salary: Up to -47,000 (depending on experience)
Job Type: Permanent
Shifts: 4 on 4 off (Days & Nights)

The Role

As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of production machinery by carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance. Your duties will include:

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on manufacturing machinery and equipment.
• Responding to electrical breakdowns and carrying out fault finding to minimise downtime.
• Diagnosing and repairing faults on motors, sensors, relays, contactors, inverters and control systems.
• Assisting with continuous improvement projects to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
• Ensuring all maintenance work is completed safely and in accordance with company procedures.
• Completing maintenance records accurately using the site''s maintenance system.

The Ideal Candidate

• Apprentice trained or NVQ Level 3 qualified in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
• Previous experience working within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience with PLC-controlled machinery is advantageous.
• A proactive approach with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
