Electrical Maintenance Engineer – Job Description We are looking for experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineers to join a major engineering and manufacturing site in Birmingham, specialising in the production of high-quality products for a range of specialist industries.
- Carry out planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding, repairs and preventative maintenance.
- Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults across a range of industrial machinery, including furnaces, cranes and CNC machines.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings and carry out PLC fault finding.
- Monitor machinery performance, identify recurring issues and implement improvements.
- Work closely with production teams to minimise downtime and maintain equipment safely and effectively.
Electrical Maintenance Engineer – Essential Skills / Experience / Qualifications
- Proven experience carrying out PPM and reactive maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Strong electrical maintenance and fault-finding experience.
- Confident reading electrical drawings – this is essential.
- PLC fault finding / ladder logic experience desirable.
- High Voltage experience desirable.
- ONC, HNC or City & Guilds qualification would be advantageous.
- Comfortable working in an industrial environment, including working at heights and in confined spaces.
- Heavy engineering experience would be advantageous but is not essential.

- £55,000, including shift allowance, with up to £59,500 available for more experienced candidates.
