Job Description:
As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring all machinery and services are maintained and fully functional to maximise productivity across the site. This involves:

Carrying out breakdown repairs, planned maintenance, and modifications to equipment, services, and buildings.

Maintaining health & safety standards and assisting with risk assessments.

Recording work on equipment within the Planned Preventative Maintenance (M3) system.

Ordering and managing spare parts.
-
Supporting root cause analysis for equipment failures.
-
Working closely with the production team to ensure smooth operations.

Keeping electrical drawings, documentation, and test certificates up to date.
Skills & Experience:
Essential:
-
BTEC or HNC in Engineering (or equivalent).
-
Completed engineering apprenticeship.
-
18th Edition qualification.
-
Experience working with inverters, servo, DC drives, PLCs, and instrumentation.

Strong problem-solving and organisational skills.
-
Ability to work with heavy equipment, at heights, and in confined spaces.

Team player with good communication skills.

Flexible and self-motivated, willing to work weekends/overtime and attend callouts.
Desirable:
-
PLC programming experience.

Testing & verification qualification (2394-01).

Experience in food manufacturing.

Knowledge of steam boilers and systems.

Boiler operator training.
-
Computer literacy and experience with resource planning software (M3).

Food Hygiene or Health & Safety qualifications (IOSH Managing Safely).
