We are currently looking for an experienced Electrical Lecturer to join a further education setting on a long-term contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced electrical professional with proven teaching experience who is looking to continue their career within education and support the development of the next generation of electrical professionals.

The Role:

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality electrical theory and practical training, supporting learners to develop both their technical knowledge and practical skills.

You will:

  • Deliver engaging electrical theory and practical sessions.
  • Teach learners across relevant electrical qualifications and levels.
  • Plan and prepare lessons, activities and learning materials.
  • Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback.
  • Support learners in developing their technical and practical abilities.
  • Maintain a positive, inclusive and professional learning environment.
  • Ensure practical activities are delivered safely and in line with relevant requirements.
  • Work with colleagues to support learner achievement and progression.
  • Maintain accurate records relating to attendance, assessment and learner progress.
  • Support learners with progression into employment, apprenticeships or further study.

About You:

We are looking for someone with:

  • A clear DBS check is required for the role.
  • Candidates who do not currently hold a valid DBS certificate must be willing to undergo the required DBS checks prior to starting the role.
  • Candidates must be committed to maintaining high standards of safeguarding and professional conduct when working with learners.
  • Proven teaching experience within an education, training or further education environment.
  • Strong electrical industry experience and technical knowledge.
  • A relevant electrical qualification.
  • Experience delivering electrical theory and/or practical training.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A professional and supportive approach to working with young people and/or adult learners.
  • A good understanding of health & safety within an electrical/practical environment.

A relevant teaching qualification would be advantageous, alongside your electrical qualifications and experience.
