Electrical Lead

About the Role A leading organisation within the UK renewable energy sector is seeking an experienced Electrical Lead to take ownership of the electrical function across the business, with a primary focus on utility-scale Solar PV and BESS projects. This is a senior leadership position, responsible for setting electrical standards, providing technical direction, and developing the company''s electrical and commissioning capability. Working closely with senior leadership, project teams, subcontractors, and DNOs, you will support projects from tender and design through to construction, commissioning, and grid energisation. You will act as the company''s technical authority for electrical matters, ensuring high standards of quality, compliance, and safety while helping develop the policies, procedures, and team capability required to support continued growth and ISO accreditation. Key Responsibilities Lead and develop the electrical function, setting technical standards, culture, and direction across the business. Recruit, mentor, and performance-manage electrical and commissioning staff as the department grows. Act as the primary escalation point for electrical technical issues across the business. Ensure electrical installations comply with BS 7671, CDM 2015, relevant UK legislation, and industry standards, including BESS requirements.
