Position: Electrical Inspector
Location: Waterbeach
Salary: -35,000
Proactive are currently in search of an experienced Electrical Inspector to start work for a company in Waterbeach.
This is an exciting opportunity working for a market leading manufacturing company offering ample opportunity for progression and development.
Purpose of the role:
You will be responsible for ensuring the effective operation of the Quality function, maintaining quality standards, minimising quality costs, maximising customer satisfaction, and ensuring compliance with company procedures and processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with all Health, Safety and Environmental policies.
- Support the development of quality systems and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) and compile inspection reports.
- Read and interpret multi-level drawings and specifications.
- Carry out testing and complete acceptance test reports.
- Generate FAI reports and maintain inspection records.
- Perform continuity, dielectric, insulation, bonding, fault-finding and functional testing.
- Maintain knowledge of IFE systems.
- Liaise with Design and Suppliers regarding drawing errors and technical issues.
- Raise and manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
- Maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) in line with company standards and certifications.
- Support the implementation and maintenance of quality assurance processes.
- Review quality data and identify opportunities for process improvement.
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and quality standards.
- Work overtime, including evenings and weekends, when required.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Knowledge
- Working knowledge of EASA Part 21 and/or Part 145 requirements.
- Knowledge of AS9100 Rev D aerospace quality standards.
- Strong understanding of quality management principles, tools and techniques.
Skills
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and achieve targets.
- Confidence in dealing with regulatory bodies.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
Experience
- Previous experience in a Quality role.
- Knowledge of Airbus and/or Boeing systems and processes.
- Additional quality qualifications (e.g. CQI-approved qualification) desirable.
