Electrical Fitter

The role involves installing and wiring complex electrical systems and control panels onto vehicle chassis. Working from engineering drawings and electrical schematics, you will be responsible for wiring, fitting and terminating electrical components, control panels and cabling for industrial scanning and automation equipment.This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong electrical assembly and wiring skills, good attention to detail and the ability to work confidently from technical drawings.Key ResponsibilitiesInstall electrical scanning systems and control panels onto large commercial vehicles and trucks.Wire complete electrical systems onto truck and van chassis.Carry out point-to-point wiring, loom building, cable crimping and termination.Install and terminate data and communications cabling, including RJ45 and Cat5/Cat6.Read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams, schematics and engineering drawings.Carry out general mechanical fitting, including: Marking outDrillingTappingBracket and component fittingUse a range of hand and power tools safely and effectively.Carry out testing, inspection and fault-finding as required.Ensure all work is completed to the required quality and safety standards.Work accurately and efficiently while maintaining a high level of attention to detail.Skills and ExperienceThe ideal candidate will have:Previous experience in panel wiring, electrical assembly, vehicle wiring or electro-mechanical installation.Good practical electrical ..... full job details .....
